What to Expect

At Shannondale Presbyterian, you’ll find a small, welcoming congregation with a long history—our church was established in 1886, and we’re still growing in faith together today.

Our Sunday service lasts about an hour and follows a more traditional style, with hymns, scripture, and preaching. Our scripture readings follow the common lectionary as posted by P.C. USA. Most people dress in business casual to relaxed attire—nice jeans and a top are just fine—so come as you feel comfortable.

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Communion during worship. The table is open to all who believe in Christ—you don’t need to be a member to participate.

Children are always welcome in the sanctuary. While we don’t currently offer a nursery or children’s church, we do have a nearby space where parents can step out with little ones if they need a break.

Before and after the service, you’ll find plenty of friendly conversation—many people like to linger and connect. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, you’ll be greeted with warmth and an open invitation to be part of our community.
